How to view and display AutoCAD DXF files in Excel 

This series of 4 screen captures will guide you through the steps needed to configure Excel 97 to display AutoCAD R12 DXF format drawings inside of Excel 97 or Excel 2000.

1. Load Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition CD. Run setup.exe if it doesn't run automatically.
2. Choose Add/Remove programs.

3. Next select filters and converters and choose Change Option.

4. Now choose Graphics Filters, Change Options.

5. Select AutoCAD 12 DXF Import and select OK. (Or select all, then OK).

6. The next time you start Excel , you will have the ability to view instant sales drawings created by SYNTHESIS.
